After weeks of following a standardized finishing process, you would think that we had ironed out all the issues, but alas no. When finishing multiple drawers, it is important to begin with the drawer furthest along in the finishing process, requiring the lightest and more careful application of polyurethane, moving down to drawers completely unfinished (which would benefit from slightly harsher sanding and smoothing).

Having starting with a "rougher" drawer, I accidentally transferred tiny wood/dust particles to the can of polyurethane which then were applied to the almost finished drawer, leaving small bumps and imperfections that would be challenging to remove without complete restarting the finishing process. This can became the "primer" source for the drawer and a new can was purchased to be used for the 2nd/3rd coat applications.
