Session 163 - January 17, 2020: Preventative absorption

After carefully sanding all the pieces (with the orbital sander, a sanding block, or by hand), using the air compressor to blow off excess dust, and wiping by hand, we carefully arranged all the pieces and applied the first coat of polyurethane. Careful application of sealant to this center drawer was essential, given it would be one of the most used and/or touched components of the desk when serving as a typing surface (and most at risk for spills/wear and tear).
