In a tense and unforgiving process, we glued the strips together (racing against the quickly drying and setting wood glue), ensuring that each strip was in its correct orientation, order, and alignment. Extra care was needed when clamping the strips, given the nature of the lamination process creating room for error should the many strips shift/buckle during clamps process (the plastic garbage bags protected the clamps and work table from the excess glue).
